Some courage others don’t see.
Search me, O God, and know my heart! … Try me and know my thoughts! … And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting! Palms 139: 23-24
When a mother enters The Bridge to Hope, she wants something different for herself. She wants something different for her children. She knows her way isn’t working. If she is coming from addiction, this is an easy identifier. It was the abuse of substances that caused her to be so self-focused. For others, she can’t see anything wrong; she just knows that her life is in chaos. It takes even more courage to begin dismantling a lifestyle and rebuilding with God leading.
It isn’t just for herself; she also needs the courage to change the lives of her children’s lives. Often the courage starts because of her love and devotion to wanting something different for her children. The courage to answer these questions starts her journey to wholeness and completeness.
Before a mother enters The Bridge to Hope, we believe the Lord has begun the work. Her mentors and the faith community help her with the tools to keep working.
When you support The Bridge to Hope, we know you see a mother’s courage. You stand in the gap where a mother can learn and gain her purpose in Christ.
