Thank you for providing for a legacy of mothers having the opportunity to enter a Christian housing program, The Bridge to Hope, where they can grow, learn, and provide for their children as single parents.
Ten years apart, two mothers’ lives are transformed. La Casa de Cristo‘s team picked up Crystal from a local recovery program. DCS had removed her children due to her lifestyle choice. She was working toward a life of recovery, working to become a healthy mother to receive her children back in her care. At The Bridge to Hope, she received recovery support and time to determine employment to provide for her family as a single parent. She did not stand alone in working to have her children join her at The Bridge to Hope. In March ten years ago, Crystal graduated from The Bridge to Hope. Today, she is a Peer Support, guiding others in the hope that recovery gives. Raising her children in a loving home full of love and laughter.
This March, the team from Phoenix Bible Church moved their Bridge mother into her new home. Melanie, who had worked diligently to recognize that sobriety was the first step in her journey to regain custody of her daughter from DCS foster care, found she needed support at The Bridge to Hope to continue. When she entered, her team was there to move her into a completely furnished home, where her team mentored and guided her. Phoenix Bible Church provided a church home for her to attend each week. While at The Bridge to Hope, she attended vocational training as a Medical Assistant and worked in the field, able to provide for her family as a single parent.
