Mothers at The Bridge to Hope are doing the hard work of rebuilding their lives. They are pursuing education, preparing for employment, learning to manage finances, working toward stability, healing from the past, parenting their children, and learning to believe that a different future is possible.
And sometimes…we put on skates.
Skate Night becomes a picture of what we value as a ministry. There is something wonderfully human about mentors, mothers, staff, and children laughing together—even if someone spends more time holding onto the wall than actually skating.
Because our goal is not simply to help a mother exit homelessness. It is to help her build a life full of stability, purpose, relationships, and joy.
At The Bridge to Hope, we take the work seriously—but we don’t believe healing has to be serious every minute of the day.
We will continue walking alongside mothers as they pursue education, employment, financial stability, and independence. We will celebrate every hard-earned milestone.
And every once in a while, we’ll lace up our skates, hold onto the wall, laugh when we fall, and remind one another that a life rebuilt through hope should have room for joy, too.
