The words “Arise and walk” was not a motivational suggestion when Jesus spoke them. They were a command—and an invitation—to step into healing, obedience, and a new way of life.
That’s why we call it Arise & Walk!
This is more than an event. It’s a declaration of what we believe God still does—and what we witness every day at The Bridge to Hope.
Why We Arise & Walk
We walk because Jesus first called someone to stand up when the world had already counted them out.
Arise & Walk exists to remind us that:
- Hope is not passive
- Faith requires movement
- Healing often starts with one brave step
Every step taken through Arise & Walk! represents a commitment to stand with homeless single mothers who are choosing courage over comfort and obedience over fear.
Our Mothers Live This Story
The women at The Bridge to Hope don’t just talk about faith—they live it. And when they forget, their mentoring team reminds them.
They arise when:
- The past tries to define them
- Shame whispers they’re not enough
- The climb feels steeper than the promise
And they walk—sometimes slowly, sometimes with tears in their eyes, sometimes boldly—toward healing, stability, and a future anchored in Christ.
Arise & Walk isn’t symbolic for them. It’s daily life.
It looks like:
- Showing up when you don’t want to
- Building life skills while raising children
- Trusting God and their team one step at a time, even when the whole staircase isn’t visible
That’s faith in action.
A New Year Invitation
As we step into a new year, we invite you to be part of this movement.
You can:
- Pray — Cover our mothers, children, staff, and volunteers in prayer. Prayer changes everything, even when you don’t see it. Often it changes you.
- Give — Your financial support provides safe housing, Bible Studies, life-skills training, and the steady presence of hope.
- Serve — Consider joining a team. God uses willing hearts, not perfect resumes.
This is how the Body of Christ moves together.
