“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12
Providing a safe, stable home is at the heart of The Bridge to Hope’s ministry. A home where mothers begin their journey of healing and purpose, guided by God’s will and being discipled by a loving church community. However, the challenges of leasing apartments in a fluctuating rental market highlight the need for a more sustainable solution.
The Vision: A Capital Campaign
To better invest in the ministry and the mothers we serve, The Bridge to Hope has launched a Capital Campaign. This campaign seeks to transition from renting to owning a property, providing a secure environment for families to thrive to diminish the pull of former lifestyles. Current housing costs are our greatest budgetary expense annually. Through this campaign, we invite you to partner with us in creating lasting change. Join us for an informational session at 9 AM, Saturday, January 25, 2025, hosted by Faith Bible Church located at 17230 N 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85308. RSVP to The Bridge office at 602-589-5556.
2024 Highlights: Stories of Transformation
Thanks to your support, this year we witnessed God’s transformative work in the lives of our Bridge families:
- Crystal and Brooke are two mothers who chose life when they learned of their unexpected pregnancy. Through their courage and desire to provide for their children, they entered The Bridge to Hope which allowed them to participate in vocational training to create a future for themselves and their two sons. Today, both are employed in fields that complement their personalities and skills. What they found at The Bridge to Hope is love, acceptance, education, and support. They look with hope for a future.
- Charisse is a young mother who lost much due to her addiction. But the Lord created her to be a woman of character and one with grit. She gained sobriety but needed support to guide her to her full potential. Today she is learning to be a Medical Assistant and is eager to serve others and be an example of never giving up to her daughter.
- Sonia, our newest mother to enter The Bridge to Hope learned well before B2H she had the grit and tenacity it takes to overcome barriers. Lost in addiction most of her life, she fought hard to reclaim her life. She began the efforts to acquire her GED seven years before entering The Bridge to Hope. Four months after entering The Bridge to Hope, she obtained the goal of an education. Today she is working on her Peer Support training with the hope of inspiring others, showing them recovery is possible, and when you seek God’s will for your life, He will transform you. This is the gift she shows her children every day.
- Melanie lost in the lies of drug use turned to a childhood friend who gave her hope, this hope sparked her courage to seek recovery, and then was led to The Bridge to Hope where she became a Medical Assistant. Today she is the woman God created her to be, she meets the needs of others at a job she loves. A graduate of The Bridge to Hope she lives in a home that loves and honors Christ, being an example of resilience for her two daughters.
- Gysella’s courage to leave an unhealthy relationship has shaped her daughter’s life. Her daughter Sarah shared her testimony at The Journey to Hope dinner in November it is due to her mother that she has learned her value in Christ.
Volunteer Impact
In 2024, we welcomed 29 new volunteers who joined the many who give tirelessly to the ministry and celebrate Orangewood Community Church in serving a young mother, Nevelen, and her two sons. Nevelen began certification in Medical Records and demonstrated her faith through baptism on December 1st with her team present, committing to guide her to Christ. Nevelen also committed to raising her two sons in accordance with God’s will and ways.
